The Magnifica Comunità has its seat in its Palace, a historic building in Cavalese that houses the picture gallery, the museum and the archive of manuscripts, statutes and documents of great importance for the ancient history of Fiemme. The building was commissioned in the Middle Ages by the Prince-Bishops of Trento as the seat of their Vicars and as a summer residence. Dating back to the 14th century, in 1850 the palace became the seat of the Magnifica Comunità di Fiemme. The complex restoration work carried out on the building has returned the palace to its former splendour.
