GEOLOGICAL MUSEUM OF THE DOLOMITES

GEOLOGICAL MUSEUM OF THE DOLOMITES
As the name suggests, the museum houses geological rarities from the Dolomites. The mountains have been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2009. The museum's collection includes a selection of palaeontological finds and numerous minerals, some of which come from the former mine. Since 2011 the museum has been the local branch of MUSE, the Science Museum of Trento. Together with the Municipality of Predazzo, it is committed to sharing geological knowledge with the general public. Activities include guided tours, workshops for children and adults, guided excursions with experts in summer, and an information desk on geology.
